You’ll need to adopt this village layout if you aren’t too concerned with anything else but your Gold storage. Your Town Hall may lie behind one set of Walls, but your Gold is well protected as it lies within the center. Your Mortars and towers will lend some great protection, while your Army/Resource buildings will soak up damage on the outside.
